Tacit Galleries Collingwood
The ritual of performance is an ephemeral moment whether it be in the form of an intentional constructed artwork or an unintentional human interaction.
The prints become a stage, and the figures hold that moment, engaging with the world and others. A place is found, and within that context, the memories of ancient and new, grow and emerge.
The medium of monotype is a transient form of printmaking, usually creating only one image with the possibility of a ghost, feint and shifted, and then the original image from the matrix is lost.
Figures emerge capturing the fleeting essence of movement, as a metaphor for human identity and connection.
